About EACG
Our Mission
Bringing The Community Together
Founded in May of 2012, the East Anaheim Community Garden (EACG) can be found nestled between Anaheim Fire Station #10 and Sycamore Park in the cul-de-sac on Dream Street. A hiking trail, picnic area, and horse trail connect us to the greater park system.
The mission of EACG is to:
- Build an affordable community garden space
- Create pollinator-friendly gardens
- Create a healthy source of fresh food
- Build a stronger sense of community
- Provide a place of beauty for all to enjoy
- Have fun in the process!
Currently the garden has 78 individual plots, leased inexpensively to local residents on an annual basis.
Built on sweat from volunteers and donations from the local community, EACG has:
- A butterfly garden
- An herb garden
- Two picnic tables
- Several benches
The East Anaheim Community Garden partnered with Taylor’s Wish to build a courtyard as the centerpiece to the garden. The courtyard is paved with bricks which were engraved with family name to show support, the name of a lost loved one, or an inspirational message to just name a few.
While the non-profit Taylor’s Wish has closed down, you can still learn about and support pulmonary hypertension awareness at the Pulmonary Hypertension Association website.
